Research Interest:
 

Molecular catalysis: Asymmetric Organocatalysis, Metal catalysis, Organocatalysis, Photoredox catalysis and Lewis acid catalysis. Development of new methodology: Carbon-carbon and Carbon-hetero atom bonds formation, cascade reactions, Physical organic chemistry: Kinetics and mechanisms studies of Organic synthesis: Synthesis of natural products and bioactive compounds. Asymmetric Synthesis and design of new chiral ligands.

  • Design and synthesis of functionalized chiral pyridine and quinoline analogs.
  • Synthesis of anti-HIV drugS (Efavirenz and etc.,) via in situ systematic modification of chiral Schiff bases.  
  • Synthesis of natural products through 1,2-addition of organometallic reagents to carbonyl compounds. 
  • Synthesis of the agricultural drugs (Indoxacarb and etc.,) via in situ systematic modification of N-Heterocyclic carbenes.
  • The selective metalations on various active ingredients with adamantyl-derived bases (Li, Mg, Zn).
  • Late-stage functionalization of drug analogs (covid-19): Synthesis of HCQ, Remdesivir, Rheumatoid arthritis, and Galidesivir analogs.
